In the depths of winter, when dark coats and muted tones take over, a cream sweater is a breath of light. This one belongs to our Casual Wear line and brings to mind weekends in the mountains, crackling fireplaces and cold, sunny mornings. Pair it with beige or camel pleated trousers for a very elegant light-toned monochrome look, or create contrast with dark jeans and a navy or brown coat on top.
The star is the braided knit: diamonds, lattices and cables that interlace across the body and sleeves, with a relief you can see at a glance. It's knitted in 5 gauge, a chunky knit with body, using a solid yarn so each pattern stays well defined. The blend of 60% cotton and 40% acrylic creates a warm, pleasant wool-like feel that's lighter than wool and easier to care for. The high neck keeps you warm without feeling stifling, and the ribbed cuffs and hem keep the sweater in place.
