End-on-end, known in Spanish as fil a fil, is one of tailors’ favourite fabrics, and you only need to look closely to see why: at first glance it seems plain, but its weave creates a very fine texture, almost a micro-pattern, that gives the colour depth and an elegant sheen. In dark blue, that subtlety becomes a shirt with a tailored feel that works just as well with a grey suit as with black pleated trousers with side adjusters, a modern, polished dark-on-dark pairing. For events, cocktails or meetings where you want to look sharp without a tie, it’s a safe bet.

The end-on-end technique alternates coloured and light threads in the weave, creating its distinctive textured effect and helping the shirt hide wrinkles better than plain poplin. It is made from 100% cotton, a natural, breathable and soft fibre. The custom fit, tailored without restricting, defines a clean silhouette, and the Italian collar with spread points looks good buttoned or open. The long sleeves end in a single rounded cuff, it fastens with a front button placket, and the hem features a label applied on the side.
